The Wealth & Abundance area is located south-east on the Bagua Map and it directly deals with our finances, wealth and abundance. Personally, I believe it also ties in with our self-esteem and sense of personal value. After all, the definition of abundance means a large quantity of something; plentiful, plentiful of the good things life has to offer in opportunities, experiences, food, creativity, health, relationships, family or communities.
Therefore, true abundance is a reflection of our self-worth and how much we value ourselves.
Like many others, there were moments when I based my value on my wages, or my perceived social status. As I continue to write and reflect my own personal financial journey. I began to notice the intriguing parallels between my experience with financial growth and the Southeast section of my own environment.
For many years, the current Southeast section of my personal environment has held furniture and clothes from the past. After learning the principles of Feng Shui and observing my own surroundings in the Southeast location, I began to notice and reflect a pattern in my own financial situation.
The furniture and items that we transfer from previous homes energetically carry old memories and habits into our new chapters. This energy can begin to transmute into stagnation - particularly when regarding financial growth and prosperity. We may repeatedly encounter similar financial roles and opportunities that may offer stability, but not necessarily support growth and expansion.
Practically speaking, in the beginning, when we move into a new space, many of us are already working on a tight budget and gradually purchase new items over time. Our primary focus is covering the essential areas of the homes first before introducing new items. However, furniture and items that no longer bring us joy, feel outdated, or we do not use, eventually becomes stagnant and slowly this stagnant energy translate to a sense of stagnation into our life.
Finances and growth are like trees. They start small and gradually grow to a full grown tree. Some trees grow faster than others. An Oak tree takes many years to grow because it invests a large amount of energy to build a strong foundation through an extensive root system. This deep rooted foundation allows the tree to withstand harsh weather conditions and gives it a lifespan of 100-300 years. As humans, we may not have the biological lifespan of an Oak tree, but we can nurture a strong foundation that be carried out through generations.
It's no surprise the two elements, Wood and Water, are associated with Wealth and Abundance, as water is essential for wood to grow and flourish.
